How whole-home scenting works.
Transform your entire home into a luxury hotel with the Whole House HVAC Scent Diffuser - a premium hvac scent diffuser that integrates with your existing air system to deliver consistent, designer-grade fragrance to every room. Why an HVAC diffuser? Traditional room diffusers and reed diffusers can only scent the space they sit in. A whole house diffuser system installed inline with your HVAC ductwork pushes a fine, atomized fragrance mist through your existing air vents, scenting every room your air conditioning or furnace already serves. The result is a uniform, hotel-lobby-quality scent experience throughout your home. Want a deeper dive? Read our guide to whole-home HVAC scent diffusers . How the Nēbu HVAC scent diffuser works The unit installs near your HVAC return or supply line. When your air system runs, the diffuser releases a measured pulse of pure fragrance oil into the airst

Covers up to 3,000 sq. ft. - ideal for whole-home scenting through your HVAC system.
Easy HVAC integration - includes the fittings and hose to connect directly into ductwork or plenum.
Simple setup - requires a standard 110v plug; make sure there is nearby access for a clean installation.
Powerful coverage - scents large areas up to 1,500 sq. ft. in a short time.
Flexible placement - can be installed on a wall or on the floor for open-area diffusion.
Strategic positioning - best in spacious rooms, near airflow and away from direct human contact, because the output is strong.
How this one compares.
Same cold-air nebulizing technology in every model. What changes is how much space it covers and how you control it.

Questions about the HVAC diffuser.
What is an HVAC scent diffuser?
An HVAC scent diffuser is a fragrance unit that connects to your home's central air system (the return air duct) so your existing HVAC distributes scented air through every vent. Instead of one diffuser per room, a single HVAC unit scents your whole home at consistent intensity. The Nēbu HVAC diffuser uses cold-air nebulizing technology - no water, no heat, just pressurized air that atomizes pure essential oil into nano-particles.
How does an HVAC scent diffuser work?
A small hose runs from the diffuser into your HVAC return duct. When the unit is on, it pressurizes pure fragrance oil into ultra-fine nano-particles and releases them into the airstream. Your HVAC fan pulls that scented air across the entire system and pushes it out through every vent in the house. You control intensity, schedule, and on/off via Bluetooth from your phone.
Will this work with my home's HVAC system?
If you have central forced-air (the most common system in U.S. homes - warm or cold air delivered through vents in each room), yes. The Nēbu HVAC diffuser comes with hose fittings that attach to your return duct. Installation typically takes 20-30 minutes and doesn't require an HVAC technician. The unit is fully reversible and leaves no trace if removed.
What if I don't have central HVAC - can I still use it?
Yes. The HVAC unit is the only Nēbu diffuser that also works as a standalone unit covering up to 1,500 sq ft. Wall-mount it or place it on the floor in any open-plan space and it'll scent the whole area on its own - the largest coverage of any standalone Nēbu diffuser. Smaller rooms (under 800 sq ft) can use the NL200 or NL100 instead.
How long does one bottle of fragrance oil last?
About 45 days at medium intensity with daily use. Heavy use or higher intensity levels (like 15-20 of 20) will use oil faster; low or scheduled use can extend a bottle to 60+ days. The HVAC unit holds 150 ml - bigger than the NL100 and NL200 (both 100 ml) - so you refill less often.
Is it safe around pets and children?
Yes. All Nēbu fragrance oils are phthalate-free, paraben-free, and free of known harmful chemicals. Because cold-air nebulizing uses pressurized air instead of heat or water, there are no hot surfaces or misted moisture that could affect small animals or young kids. The fragrance is safe to breathe at recommended scent levels.
Will the diffuser damage my HVAC system?
No. The hose attaches non-invasively to your return duct and the oil is released as nano-particles that don't condense, pool, or coat surfaces. Pure essential oils with no water means no humidity is added to your ductwork. Thousands of homeowners and short-term rentals use HVAC scent diffusers safely for years.
How is this different from an ultrasonic diffuser?
Ultrasonic diffusers mix essential oil with water and emit visible mist - this dilutes the fragrance, only covers a single small room, and can leave mineral residue on surfaces. The Nēbu HVAC diffuser uses pressurized air (no water) to atomize pure oil into nano-particles - dramatically larger coverage, pure fragrance with no dilution, no residue, no water tank to refill, no risk of mold.
Can I schedule when it runs?
Yes. The Nēbu Bluetooth app lets you set up to 5 weekly schedules (e.g. weekdays 7-10am and 5-9pm, weekends all day) at any of 20 intensity levels. Set it once, forget it - the diffuser runs the way you live.
How much does an HVAC scent diffuser cost?
Our HVAC bundles (diffuser + 3 fragrance bottles) are currently $425 (regular $695), and the diffuser alone is $299. For comparison, commercial HVAC scent systems often run $800-$2,000+ - so Nēbu delivers the same whole-home coverage at residential pricing. See full pricing →
